Over 50 years of direct cooperation with customers have enabled Fiam to gather a concrete 'patrimony' of knowledge, consolidated by working, among others, in close contact with the users of FIAM products daily on the production lines. Under this assumption, Fiam designs and manufactures safe, practical and easy to use solutions for the industrial tightening process with minimun noise levels, vibrations and environmental impact, in compliance with international standards in force. Ergonomics research is carried out within Ergotech Project by specialised technicians and by designers availing of latest knowledge and sophisticated equipment in terms of human physiology and bio-mechanics. Fiam is constantly participating to activities of international workgroups (for example CEN TC 122 'Ergonomics') together with main experts in ergonomics and is furthermore working with the most important universities to implement new technologies both as far as process and product are concerned. For Fiam all this means designing solutions in compliance with ergonomics and support customers in the layout of ergonomic workplaces, increasing safety, results and efficiency and improving working conditions, neutralizing negative effects both on worker's performance and health. B oth the customer and its workers will have concrete advantages : much lower fatigue, decrease of diseases, lower risk of legal disputes arising from accidents occurred to operators, l ower insurance costs for the civil responsibility of the employer, trust and greater operator satisfaction for his role and work.
