Poland, new entry within the European Union (as from May 1st, 2004) has been proving to be one of the most interesting countries for Italian industry as far as economic investments are concerned: it is not by coincidence that several very prestigious companies, particularly those active in the household appliance industry, have been expanding to Poland as well as to other Eastern European countries their production facilities. This explains why most recent successes for Fiam arrive from Polish market, from where last July 2004 the company received an order from one of the leading companies worldwide in the production of household appliances. The order has been for more than 150 air shut off screwdrivers of latest generation, which will be used for the new production lines of dryers in a Polish plant. This new important goal has been the result both of a continuous dialogue with the customer as well as of a close cooperation with Fiam local distributor, Despol. In view of this new success, obtained following FIAM winning philosophy of business partnership, Fiam can be regarded the leading supplier in terms of volume of airtools sold in the household appliance business in the Polish market: a very strategic leadership, considering the economic growth of the countries in Eastern Europe, among which Poland.
