Fiam has designed and produced an extensive, innovative range of solutions for industrial tightening. It consists in a series of electric tightening tools teamed with both a power supply unit and control unit. What's big news, above all, are the ANTARES electric nutrunner motors whose modularity and versatility enable them to meet a whole range of different tightening needs, even the more complex demands. They are particularly suitable for use in multiple tightening units, in product assembling requiring a number of screws to be tightened at the same time, and whenever it's essential the end product be of excellent quality (take, for example, the braking systems of motor vehicles, the head of an internal-combustion engine, the lid of a water heater.). Fiam supplies ANTARES in two versions: ANTARES DC MOTORS, with indirect tightening angle and torque control, where parameters are calculated by measuring the current absorbed by the sensors built into the brushless motors. The second version - ANTARES TAC - features an electronic transducer for measuring torque applied to the screw and Hall sensors, which measure the tightening angle. All models - modular, compact and highly versatile - cover a range of torques from 5 to 20 Nm and feature a series of axial compensators, fastening flanges and quick-change chucks. The finishing touch to their features is added with the tried-and-tested power supply units - essential for supplying the motor and for providing the right parameters - and the TOCS control units: the latter monitor the tightening cycle, displaying the ok/not ok cycles as well as torque/time values, which can be easily stored thanks to the built-in software. Essential when the tightening operation is of paramount importance and must be carried out with suitable tools and techniques, the ANTARES solutions offer top assurances with respect to safety, service life and performance meeting international standards.
