2006: Boost-up with Ford |
 |
October 2005, Advanced Fastening Systems Fiam distributor for northern South Africa got the latest order for the supply of more than 120 air screwdrivers from Ford SA. The Pretoria branch of the famous American Car manufacturer produces the following car models, Ford, Mazda and Volvo, to be distributed in the most important countries with right-hand drive (eg SA itself, Australia,…). The new Fiam tools are going to be used namely for mechanical assembly operations for Ford ranger and Volvo S40. Ford SA started using Fiam screwdrivers at final car assembly in 2000 and all new production lines introduced thereafter have been equipped with Fiam products, showing end user appreciation of consistency of torque values, ergonomics and reliability. All this brought to improved products quality, higher volumes and longer tools lifetime. Mr. Johan Steenkamp, Manager Passenger Car Assembly Operations Ford of South Africa, recently expressed that stating: “We are very satisfied with Fiam products and Advanced Fastening Systems competence in recommending the best solution for every application plus service provided. For these reasons we confirm Ford SA choice of Fiam as technical partner since it proved to have skills needed to help us achieve ever higher improvement targets”: High end technology matched with distributor expertise and service capabilities once again lead to customer ongoing satisfaction. The 2005 closed with great satisfactions and important targets obtained also in China, Poland, USA, Mexico and Russia; so the 2006 starts with the best omens.
