The tightening unit in detail
Screw feeding system, positioned on special plate
It includes a circular feeder and high-speed screw selector with one-way outfeed. The system also features an " overloading " control device that employs an optical fibre to improve screw feeding continuity, preventing jamming of any kind and hence machine stoppage.
Washer feeding system, positioned on special plate
It includes a circular feeder and vertical stacking channel with divider near the pick-up point.
Dual-movement fastening slide
Featuring ball-recirculating runners, magnetic cylinders with pneumatic decelerators and end-of-travel position sensors. The slide is fitted with a MCZE air nutrunner motor with the Jointech Plus torque control system featuring instant automatic air shutoff and a screw-retaining head.
Anti-over turning device
This device was introduced, given the dimensional nature of the screw, to allow the screw to be fed axially (as opposed to being fed at an angle, which is the case in traditional heads) by the head's horizontal translation, thus preventing overturning.
This is how the work cycle proceeds
1. The head for holding screw of the motor installed on the slide is fed with the screw sent from the feeder
2. The slide traverses to pick up the washer that has previously been separated on leaving the stacking channel
3. Once the washer has been picked up, the slide traverses back to the tightening position and simultaneously fastens both the screw and inserted washer on the motor housing.
